Items that can be equipped into one of the equipment slots are called Equipment. There are several different kinds of slots in the game. In a game like Blade & Soul, it's of utmost importance to consult your sources before making your decision on which equipment you pick. Regarding which type of equipment fits your class and class specialization of choice, please refer to B&SAcademy's Discord Server.
Accessories include the equipment slots found in the upper section of the inventory, excluding the cosmetic slots Outfit, Adornment, Head Adornment, and Face Adornment. There are currently 12 different item slots, with some being focused on the offensive side of combat while other focus on the defensive one.
Your Soul Shield is made up of eight individual pieces, each angled in a specific direction around it. Throughout your adventures, you’ll collect the pieces that can be used in your Soul Shield, which then increase your performance. Each piece is also a part of a set, and additional bonuses can be gained by using 3, 5, or all 8 pieces of a set—which also allows 3 and 5 piece choices of different sets to be mixed and matched.
While a martial artist’s clothing doesn’t provide bonuses or benefits to combat, their weapons, accessories, and Soul Shield certainly does. By upgrading a weapon, or finding new accessories or Soul Shield pieces, you can continually increase your power; in addition, stat bonuses can be added through the use of gems. Weapons of higher quality will contain gem slots, and by inserting a gem of a different colour, as well as increasing levels of quality (Square, Pentagonal, Hexagonal, ...), you can further customize your combat ability.
