Altar of the Infinite

The majestic Aransu School, home to one of the oldest clans in the Realm where the barrier between Realms feels immaterial, was the location where the legendary Zulia Aransu first mastered the art of conjuring powerful Thralls. Despite the school's long history, the now leaderless clan was at a crossroads. With the uncertain future present in its members' minds, the school ultimately decided to close its doors, marking the end of an era.

Watching your clan fall into disarray can be painful, something that both you and Unak, master of the Twisted Serpent, have experienced. In a last attempt to salvage the school, the both of you travel to the Aransu School's hallowed grounds to convince the clan elders to keep the school open. As you arrive, you instead find the Aransu School in a state of distortion. The complex was seemingly ready to close down and open its gates at the same time. Over just a night, members grew old or became children, and the connection to their Thrall withered.

With the school in chaos, the Aransu members scoured scrolls and tomes for information, with all signs pointing to an old teacher, Master Soryan, who specialized in Way of Distortion. While the Distortion's techniques allow the user to manipulate time and space, he had also learned the ability to steal time to extend his own life. For Soryan's crimes, he was sealed away for good.

As Chaos continues to spread across the Realm, Soryan has awoken, siphoning time from the Aransu. With an unearthed altar at the Aransu School open, offering a glimpse into the clan's past, Soryan is ready to battle any foe to keep the school from closing.
